You don't wear a wool coat or a scarf in May, so why are you using the same grooming products all year? Here's what to addand what to ditchto get your skin ready for warmer weather. Kayleen Schaefer
1. Add: Shaving-cream brush
Subtract: Electric razor
You got away with rushed shaves when a scarf covered half of your face, but now you'll want a badger (real or synthetic) brush that lifts your stubble before you lop it off.
Jack Black Pure Performance Shave Brush ($85)
2. Add: Sunscreen
Subtract: Heavy face lotion
You don't need the thick face cream anymore. Apply a featherweight layer of sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 to protect your skin from the rays.
Clarins Men UV Protection ($40)
3. Add: Exfoliator
Subtract: Pre-shave oil
Dump your pre-shave-oil regimen for a weekly face scrub, which will slough off the dry patches that give you ingrown hairs.
Shiseido Men Deep Cleansing Scrub ($23)
4. Add: Matte lip protection
Subtract: Pot of lip balm
Toss the petroleum jelly you gooped on your lips during ski season in favor of a lightweight, no-shine balm.
Kiehl's Facial Fuel No-Shine Moisturizing Lip Balm ($8.50)
5. Add: Body wash
Subtract: Body lotion
Now that the chill isn't sucking your skin dry, replace heavy lotion with a glycerin-based body wash, which will leave your skin moisturized and lightly scented.
REN Neroli and Grapefruit Body Wash ($24)
