Who knew the punk godfather had lounge-act aspirations? On this album of melodramatic, Serge Gainsbourg–influenced songs, he sounds at times like he's doing a round of karaoke, but his Gauloise-inflected rumble on "I Want to Go to the Beach" and his stark take on the classic "Les Feuilles Mortes" deliver an appropriately smoky vibe.
