Mika is not one for subtlety: The U.K. pop star crams his songs with towering choruses, Freddie Mercury-esque vocals, and charging beats. But "We Are Golden" is so memorable—a sort of first-hit-off-the-pipe anthem—you forgive piano and string over-indulgences and enjoy the ride. Matthew Hendrickson
