How to Trim Your Mustache
How To Trim It
If you feel like your 'stache is too thick, make it slimmer by shaving off a quarter of an inch from the area directly below your nose. Use a single-blade razor, like a Bic, when slimming down the 'stache. "It gives you a clean look," says Carl Cwiok, a master barber at The Art of Shaving. But don't take off any more than that or you'll wind up with a pencil-thin style like Salvador Dalí's. Regardless of how much of your upper lip you want your mustache to cover, trim it every two weeks. Use an electric trimmer on a low setting to remove about half an inch all over. Clip it with scissors at the bottom so it doesn't grow over your lip, Walrus-style.
