To prepare for the holiday spending orgy that begins Friday, record labels have brought out their heavy hitters. Look for Adam Lambert's debut album, For Your Entertainment, Shakira's She Wolf, and Rihanna's much-anticipated post-beatdown Rated R to hit shelves. But who's going to be king of the charts when Black Friday has come and gone? His Holiness, that's who. Pope Benedict XVI's first album, Alma Mater: Music from the Vatican, dropped yesterday. It contains eight original modern classical music pieces with the pontiff himself laying down the prayers in Latin, Italian, Portuguese, French, and German. First Michael Steele tries to make Republicans hip with his blog "What Up?" and now the Holy Father brings his fresh sounds to all God's children. What can you say? Amen to that.
