Milan Report: Versace Spring/Summer 2011
Donatella Versace is not a timid women, so why should her men be any different? For her spring collection, the blonde icon and her new menswear designer, Dior Homme alum Martin Bal, whipped up a stirring ode to the house that her brother Gianni built. There were notes of skin, sex and Bruce Weber. The former came courtesy of some silky robes and skimpy briefs, and, for that matter, so did the latter. In between were a smattering of skinny suits and rockabilly fringed leather jackets. After all, if you're going to channel your inner Polecats, you're going to need the goods to see it through.
