In the last few years, men's style has been dominated by the heritage look, partly thanks to the rise of boutique thrift shops, and I was directed to one such store, Dear Pluto, while photographing men in Sydney. At the start of her career, owner Emma Daniel only sold women's garments but kept coming across great menswear pieces, from patent lace-ups to crazy short-sleeve shirts, that were too good to pass up. "Just the fact that the clothes are still here 30 or 40 years later is a testament to how high-quality they are," she notes. I scored one of the ties from the bowl, and you're sure to come out with something as great (and as cheap).
