Backstory: The 38-year-old Morocco native Nadir Khayat struggled in Stockholm and New York City for more than a decade before exploding with Lady Gaga's " "Poker Face," and other tracks from The Fame. His other collaborators include Usher, Jennifer Lopez, and Swedish-Congolese R&B star Mohombi, the first artist he signed to his fledgling 2101 Records.
