Joe Doucet, designer for BMW, Armani, and Disney, offers a quick course on pieces that make the office livable. You spend one-third of your life in bed. If you're anything like me, you spend the other two thirds at work. And yet, despite the much-heralded advent of the office-as-playground and the widespread tearing down of cubicle walls, surprisingly few designers have turned their attention to the spaces where we labor. Though I'm guilty of the same neglect, I have made a few attempts, including my project "Flourish", a re-imagined chandelier comprised of flourescent tubing.
Here are some other ways to bring effective design into your workspace.
