Big, Bad, Black Shades: Johan Lindeberg BLK DNM Sunglasses for Moscot
When the Swedish fashion designer Johan Lindeberg
launched his new pop-up store for his brand,
BLK DNM, last month, we were worried that its denim-heavy nature and refusal to "conform to fashion seasons" might mean we'd have to wait until winter for another of his smartly minimalist products. That's why the label's latest unveiling, a collection of sunglasses done in collaboration with
Moscot, is a welcome arrival. The three sunglasses produced by the Scandinavian iconoclast and the American eyewear icon are sleek yet chunky with gently tinted lenses in brown, green, and gray that contrast nicely with their jet-black frames. But what makes these summer essentials stand out are the thin metal inserts in the corners, the only ornamentation on these minimalist gems that will look great accessorizing anything from a T-shirt and jeans to a fine black suit.
Sunglass 1, 2, and 3 by BLK DNM, $295 each at us.blkdnm.com or the BLK DNM pop-up shop at 237 Lafayette Street, New York City.—
