In the midst of Fashion Week, True Religion hosted a moderated discussion titled "A Conversation on Denim" at the Standard Hotel. The panelists, including celebrity stylist Anna Bingemann, Vanity Fair market director Michael Carl, and Atrium owner Sam Ben-Avraham, debated subjects that touched on psychology, economics, and even the environment, including how premium jeans are priced, Levi's as American iconography, and how denim production pollutes our water. It's hard to think of another piece of clothing that has such resonance. As Carl said, "What once was considered rebellious is now an American uniform."
