We're asking top designers to pick one look from their fall/winter 2011 collections and to explain the inspiration behind the item and how it was fabricated. This week, Patrik Ervell tells the story behind this baseball jacket.
"Our knit baseball jacket is knitted like a sweater but is really more of an outerwear piece. It's a thick, sturdy wool knit with metal snap buttons running down the front, so it feels like you're wearing a jacket. It comes in two colors: black with maroon stripes or navy with gray stripes, which are pretty traditional color combos for a baseball jacket. The result is a classic American menswear look."
