The Secret Life of Havana

havana_blog.jpg

The photographer (and former advertising exec) Michael Dweck says his subject is seduction, and sure enough, you'll find carnal pleasures, lovingly rendered, on nearly every page of his new book, Habana Libre (Damiani, $65). Part photojournalism and part fantasy, it collects portraits of the beautiful young people of Cuba's burgeoning creative class—who, unbeknownst to the outside world, have forged a thriving arts community and nightlife scene—at work and play, often in various states of undress.
