I've always been a big proponent of having different boots for different situations. Duck boots for rain and snow. Hiking boots for outdoor activities. And a solid pair of plain-toe boots for just about everything else. Because of their understated design and slim dimensions, they can be easily dressed up or down, making them one of the more versatile cold-weather footwear options. Below are some of my favorite boots for the season, at a variety of price points. Every pair is made in the USA and will only get more handsome—and comfortable—with age.
