Remember those Magic Spin paint-splatter machines from summer camp? (Growing up in Texas, I always opted for arts-and-crafts hour versus flag football or any other group sport. I knew where the only A/C was located.) The same idea has been applied to these wood-and-metal corkscrew stools by Sebastian Errazuriz. But the psychedelic seats aren't just nostalgic kids' play. The work of the Chilean-born, New York-based artist-slash-furniture designer was recently auctioned at Sotheby's "Important 20th-Century Designs" event—when he was the tender age of 28.
