Stop by the Ermenegildo Zegna store on 5th Avenue to view the brand's amazing collaboration with the American artist Emil Lukas.
Part of the ZegnArt initiative that was launched in Rome earlier this spring, the debut project in the U.S. celebrates the importance of silk in the brand's spring/summer 2012 collection (see below). Lukas produced five original paintings created from Zegna silk threads, inspired by the colors that result from the mixing of raw fibers in the Zegna mill prior to yarn-spinning. The pieces are truly stunning and capture the elegance and sophistication of the brand. Our favorites include the triptych pictured above, entitled Zegna Silk Hum.
"Passion for Silk," on view through May 9 at the Zegna store, 663 5th Avenue, New York City; zegnart.com
