The original programming Cinemax is best known for is soft-core porn. But the cable network could change that with Hunted, a tightly constructed, white-knuckle espionage drama.
Set mostly in London, it stars Melissa George as Sam Hunter, a luscious-lipped (okay, some things never change) spy on the run with a knack for impersonation: In the pilot episode alone, she passes herself off as a British nanny, a lost American schoolteacher, and a mysterious Frenchwoman, all while trying to evade attempts on her life by persons unknown. Part Jason Bourne, part Nikita, this ass-kicking lady is giving Skinemax a whole new look. Hunted airs at 10pm on Fridays.
