Every week, the street-style expert behind the blog Guerreisms brings you another colorful character from the sidewalks. This week, we shine the spotlight on Simone Marchetti (pictured).
Name:
Simone Marchetti
Occupation:
Fashion editor of Repubblica.it, D.Repubblica.it, La Repubblica

What are you wearing?
Prada suit and shoes, Valentino shirt and bag, made-to-measure blazer by my tailor (silk from Lake of Como). Dolce&Gabbana iPad case, Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air King watch.
What should every man have in his closet?
Boldness. And imagination.

Best advice your mother gave you?
Work hard. Be kind. Never give up to mediocrity.
What's your advice to someone looking to find their personal style?
Read books, magazines, newspapers, websites before dressing up. And
dress up like you're writing a book. Treat fashion (and your personal
style) like your own biography.

Are you wearing anything sentimental?
No. I always try not to be too close or in love with clothes and accessories. I like the
movement, the change of fashion. It forces me to change and to step
forward to the future.
Two things you can't leave home without?
Technology (iPhone, iPad, internet). And curiosity.
