Whether it's flashy or unassuming, a man's watch can tell you a lot. Here, we bring you a glimpse of horological inspiration from a top tastemaker. In this edition: the Rolex that inspired a watch addiction.
The Subject: Paul C. Witt, owner/founder of Wittmore
The Watch: 2006 Rolex Submariner Date in steel and yellow gold
The Details: "If I was going to buy a Rolex, I wanted to go for it. And this one started my watch addiction; I have around 27 total watches now. My two adult watches are this Rolex Submariner and a Panerai Luminor Marina. The other watches in the collection include a Paul Smith, a few 1960s-vintage pieces, a Spaceman 1960s watch, two Suuntos, two Swiss Armies, five G Shocks, two Timex, three Casios, and a few more that are in storage that I have forgotten about. The next few I would like to add to the collection might be an IWC, Bell & Ross, and Hermes for my 40th... For timepiece updates I stay tuned in with Hodinkee and Honolulu Time on a regular basis."
