Brooklyn Decker on Burn Beards, Playing a Crazy B*tch, And The Joy of Eating Carbs

The 25-year-old actress was in town for Gillette's "Shave and Kiss" event, where she cheered on couples attempting to break the world record for most kisses in a minute.

DETAILS: All the guys here are lopping off their beards before locking lips, but isn't scruff supposed to be sexy?

BROOKLYN DECKER: I like the look of scruff, but when it comes to getting a kiss or hug, it's the worst to feel a guy's beard or five o'clock shadow scrape against you because then you have this burn beard on your face. It's like a red rash, and that's just not a good look for any girl.

DETAILS: Do you remember your first kiss?

BROOKLYN DECKER: I was at Middle School Madness, which is like the middle school dance. "Mo Money Mo Problems" was playing (yeah, classy lady), and I kissed my boyfriend, who I had been dating for seven months—which is forever when you're twelve, it's basically like marriage. Every time the song comes on I think, ah, first kiss...oh Biggie.

DETAILS: Rebel! You know, you seem like such a sweet person, but you played the role of a crazy mean girl so well during your guest spot on FX's The League.

BROOKLYN DECKER: It was oddly very easy, which sounds terrible. The directors for the show are a husband and wife, and the wife is adorable and beautiful and sweet, but she'd come up to you before a scene and be like, "Tell him he looks like he works in a Romanian sex shop and then give him a wedgie and then tell him to go F himself." It was really, really, fun.

DETAILS: You played a maniac on Fox's The New Girl recently, too.

BROOKLYN DECKER: I was this awful character who gets turned on by sadness, so I would love it when a guy would cry, or if he said he had a miserable life and a broken heart I'd become really attracted to him. So I played a crazy person again. I'm seeing a pattern here.

DETAILS: Don't let 'em typecast you! What are the perks of acting over modeling—do you get to eat more carbs?

BROOKLYN DECKER: I don't stress about it as much because it's not like "Oh, I have a photo shoot in lingerie tomorrow." I've also grown up more, so I'm going to have the chocolate chip cookie and red velvet waffle like I did this morning and it's awesome and delicious. Also, modeling is so much about luck, and with acting I love knowing that I can work really hard and see results.

DETAILS: You've come so far since you first wore that yellow bikini on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Do you have it framed somewhere?

BROOKLYN DECKER: I don't have it! I should probably buy one and hang it up and say it's the original one.
