Editors' Pick: Criquet Puts an End to the Quest for the Perfect Polo

Childhood friends and Criquet Shirts founders Billy Nachman and Hobson Brown learned the value of a well-made polo during their prep-school years—and they've been on the quest for the perfect shirt ever since.

According to their bio, "Over the years, the two sampled polos of all shapes and sizes: baggy, fitted, emblem, no emblem, collar up, even a brief flirtation with the cringe-worthy double-layered look. Throughout this odyssey, there were some constants—perfectly worn hand-me-downs and thrift-store treasures. There were the golf shirts Billy's grandfather wore in the '70s and a great polo Hobson picked up on vacation that cannot be found anywhere in the continental United States."

When this search became too exhausting, Nachman and Brown decided to design their own polo. Founded in Austin, Texas, Criquet Shirts makes classic polos with vintage, prep-school styling—think seventies stripes, washed-out navy blues, and sun-bleached pastels.

The brand's three separate styles (the Players Shirt, the Long Sleeve Players Shirt, and the Thin Stripe Players Shirt) are all made from 100 percent certified organic cotton with recycled, removable collar stays. For those in search of the perfect polo, look no further.
