Street Cred

The Virginia native formed the Pharrell-endorsed "cocaine rap" duo Clipse in the late nineties.

The Moroccan-born showman cofounded the hip-hop mixtape/DVD series Cocaine City in 2002.

Arch-Nemesis

Lil Wayne, who's been insulting the rapper for years. Pusha called his 2012 dis track "Ghoulish" ("Fuck Pusha T and anybody that love him") "horrible" and "trash."

50 Cent, who reacted badly on Twitter ("French your Sh!t so weak you never had a song by your self fool") when Montana compared his career arc unfavorably to Rick Ross'.

Solo Debut

My Name Is My Name (out July 2) frames Pusha's poetic, character-driven tales from the dark side against lush, melodic production by the likes of the Neptunes, The-Dream, and Kanye West.

Excuse My French (out May 21) is an infectious mix of club bangers that showcases Montana's fantasy-team-building skills: It features appearances from Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, and the Weeknd.
