The Week in Fashion: Dolce & Gabbana's Runway Streaker, Stefano Pilati's Zegna Debut, New Warby Parker Aviator Collection

The week's top stories in fashion news.

Guests at Dolce & Gabbana's shows got an eyeful of Italian flesh at the brand's latest menswear show—and we don't mean leather loafers. A streaker made an unexpected appearance on the catwalk, but the D&G designers insist they weren't in on the shtick. As Gabbana told the Telegraph, "We feel shocked about what's happened. But we're relaxed, too, because we know that we're innocent." (NY Mag)

We'll admit it: we were a little worried about Stefano Pilati after he was axed from YSL. Happily, Cathy Horyn vetted the designer's first outing at his new house, Zegna, reporting that Pilati "showed his experience with this collection and, I might add, his Italian sensibility." We knew you could do it, buddy. (NY Times)

Aviator sunglasses are one of the universal signs of cool. For its new Meridian collection, Warby Parker whipped up three upscale styles of the iconic sunnies for globetrotters and what they're calling "renegade" travelers—or, at least, people who would like to look more adventurous than they actually are. Our childhood would have been a lot less organized without our annual trapperkeeper purchase at Staples. Now we can keep our adulthood zipped up and super organized thanks to a new collaboration between Wood Wood and Porter Yoshida & Co. Of course, if the phrase "trapperkeeper" calls to mind those after-school detentions you racked up, you can always call it a portfolio. (Complex)

For more than a decade Men's Wearhouse's George Zimmer guaranteed us that we were going to "like the way we look" in his suits, but he may not feel so confident about the statement issued by his former company, from which he abruptly resigned this week. Now, the company is firing back that Zimmer "refused to support" his management team. (USA Today)
