In our ongoing series,Model in the Spotlight, we get up close and personal with the world's leading male models.
Arthur Gosse might be a man of few words (blame it on the language barrier, the man is from France), but he certainly has that French je ne sais quoi down pat. And he's come a long way fast; his very first modeling gig was just last year, a Prada exclusive campaign no less. DETAILS caught up with Gosse to talk about jumping off of roofs, custom underwear, and why he never needs to workout at the gym.
Hometown: Lille, France
How were you discovered: A friend was studying styling at my school (La Cambre, in Belgium) and asked if I could be a model for her show at the end of the year. A modeling agency found me there.
Career highlight: A Zara commercial this past spring. I got to go to Budapest!
Career lowlight: I only keep the good memories.
Do you prefer runway or photo shoot: Runway, it's more exciting.
What's your secret to walking a runway? I just walk like I am walking down the street.
The craziest thing you've ever been asked to model: I was once asked to jump off of a roof into a pool. It was a shoot for a magazine at a house outside of Paris. I asked the photographer if it would be okay to jump from the rooftop because the people living in the house told me they used to do that - so I jumped!
The one item from your wardrobe you would save in a fire: My underwear with my name on it.
If you could raid anyone's closet it'd be: James Bond.
The artist getting a lot of play on your iPod right now: Afro Cuban All Stars.
How do you stay in shape? I just have good chromosomes.
If you weren't modeling you'd be: In music, or an industrial designer.
Your best quality: My magic hands.
Your worst quality: I dream all day long.
If you could change one thing about your body, it would be: Nothing.
