In the October issue of Details we brought you the stories of Pharrell Williams and 33 other maverick thinkers and doers from the worlds of music, art, design, tech, fitness, fashion, and more—visionaries who've transcended narrow conventions to turn their ideas into reality.
Now we're bringing the Makers issue to life with a free public exhibition and day of events co-sponsored by Lacoste and Cadillac in NYC. Join us to kick things off Friday night with a party at Cedar Lake (547 W. 26th Street) and come back on Saturday from 12-4pm for an interactive, multi-sensory experience featuring demos and talks from some of the distinguished Makers themselves.
Guests will have the chance to test-ride a Peloton Bike, the latest innovation in at-home cycling, taste beer from Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project, and make their own custom scent at a fragrance bar hosted by master perfumer Yann Vasnier. Other highlights include the chance to get an up-close and personal look at MakerBot's new Digitizer (a 3D desktop scanner capable of reproducing objects up to eight inches tall, above) and a lesson in "molecular mixology" from Dave Arnold of Momofuko (pictured above).
A complete schedule of events and info about signing up for talks and demos is available at details.com/MakersExperience.
