Whether it's flashy or unassuming, you can tell a lot from a man's watch. Here, we bring you a glimpse of horological inspiration from a top tastemaker. In this edition: Bonobos CEO Andy Dunn and his future heirloom Rolex.
The Subject: Andy Dunn
The Watch: 1982 stainless-steel/18-karat-gold Rolex Gentleman's Oyster Quartz
The Details: While in Boston for Bonobos' e-commerce launch, Dunn was in a "really good mood," saw the vintage Rolex at Tourneau, and went for it. "The silver and gold together is a tough look," Dunn says of the aesthetics, "and yet it seemed like a great old-school timepiece, almost Donnie Brasco. I realized I can wear this with anything. It just somehow works. I could see it being multigenerational—my dad wearing it or my kids one day. That's the great thing about buying a watch as old as you. Now I just need to not lose it."
