This Week in Fashion News: Jeremy Scott Designs Strollers, Zappos Ditches Job Titles, More Unnecessary Cartoon Collabs

The week's top stories in fashion news.

  • This year, we're hoping fashion designers resolve to produce fewer random collaborations. But A Bathing Ape has already done just that with a donut-eating cartoon character, no less. A capsule collection of Simpsons-inspired gear includes Bart and Homer varsity jackets, T-shirts, hoodies, and even a few pillows, so you can cry yourself to sleep. (Complex)

  • Fresh off the heels of their Dover Street concept store, Comme des Garçons has renovated its iconic West 22nd Street location in New York City with a far more blinged-out concept. "I imagined a magical and intimate world of gold, my third color after black and red," explains Rei Kawakubo in a press release. It goes without saying that her take on a "world of gold" (think shiny, undulating Richard Serra-like walls) is something you should make a priority of seeing. (Comme des Garçons )

  • Hate your boss? Consider working at Zappos, where soon there won't be any bosses at all. The company announced its new "holacractic" model this week, a radical revamp that will do away with all titles, managers, and company hierarchy. Hopefully, the guy who ships our shoes super-duper fast is still going to be doing that. (Quartz)

  • For the dad who has everything, VFiles has stocked not one, but two Cybex strollers designed by Jeremy Scott. The theme? Fast food, so super-fly tots can cruise the sidewalks in a carriage adorned by their favorite things, namely pizza slices and ice cream cones. (VFILES)

  • A new report by Verdict Retail predicts that menswear in the United Kingdom will grow by 22 percent in the next five years, making it the fastest growing category in the country. That's good news for our dapper friends across the pond, who can look forward to more options, deeper buys (meaning stores will actually have your size in stock), and a more diverse network of brands to choose from.
