For the fourth time in as many weeks, Pharrell Williams has made headlines with yet another fashion collaboration. His latest is with Adidas Originals, a brand that's worked with everyone from Raf Simons to Rick Owens.
2005: Billionaire Boys' Club and Ice Cream
Williams started BBC clothing and sneaker brand Ice Cream with A Bathing Ape's Tomoaki Nagao. The brand has also done collaborations of its own, notably one last year featuring Spongebob Squarepants
2008: Louis Vuitton
The singer worked for several years on a collection of fine jewelry called Blason (that's French for coat of arms) with Louis Vuitton's jewelry designer Camille Miceli. The pieces ranged from a $2,070 yellow gold ring to a $620,760 white gold and diamond necklace.
After spending so much time with so much ice, it seems natural that Pharrell would want to turn to outerwear. He partnered with Moncler to create a capsule collection of jackets and other pieces that launched in fall 2010.
2013: Moncler (again)
For his second collaboration with Moncler, Pharrell helped create a selection of titanium sunglasses and a few more jackets and puffer vests.
Pharrell applied the name of his YouTube channel and cultural platform, i am OTHER, for a line of T-shirts he created with Uniqlo that will be available in April.
2014: Comme des Garçons
Shortly after he announced the Uniqlo collaboration, Pharrell revealed that his new fragrances for men and women, both of which are called Girl, will be for sale in September. Why Girl for a guy's scent? Duh, it's the name of his latest album.
2014: Peace Love World
Another day, another line of shirts. Williams worked with Peace Love World to release tees that bear the lyrics of one of his latest hits, "Happy," just in time for International Happiness Day. The T-shirts, which cost $45, are available for pre-sale now.
Pharrell also used International Happiness Day as an opportunity to raise money for the United Nations' Central Emergency Response Fund. His 24 Hours of Happiness website screened videos of people dancing and singing to his hit song "Happy" from every timezone throughout the day.
2014: Adidas Originals
There's a reason Pharrell wore that Adidas jacket to the Grammys. In late March 2014, he revealed that he's been working on a partnership with the sportswear brand that uses fabrics from his textile company, Bionic Yarn. While he hasn't said yet what the products will look like yet, Pharrell assured WWD, "It's my line so it comes from my heart and mind…It's for basically everyone. I'm not doing this for any specific demographic."
