Fabergé Eggs Made by Menswear Designers in the Most Expensive Easter Hunt Ever

If you're looking for a more engaging Easter activity than searching for slightly melted orbs of chocolate on someone's lawn, the Fabergé Big Egg Hunt might be your answer.

Today is the last day to participate in the hunt, for which Zaha Hadid, Tommy Hilfiger, Jeff Koons, and a laundry list of other artists, designers, and creative minds made egg-shaped sculptures and installed them in secret (but public) spaces around New York City. Tomorrow they'll "nest together" at Rockefeller Center before going to a live auction at Christie's.

You can bid early on the auction site Paddle8, but don't expect to land a bargain. The current highest bid—a healthy $360,000—belongs to Koons's egg-shaped work Untitled.

Will any of the menswear designers involved in this project generate more money than that? Jon Koon of fashion brand Private Stock gold-leafed his egg and then covered it in the shattered pieces of precious Chinese vases from the era of Mao Zedong. Watch him at work in this video:
