The Week in Fashion: Tom Ford Ties the Knot, Hermès Makes a Mini Movie

Plus—Beckham considers menswear, Adidas sends a multi-lingual soccer ball around the world, and more.

The week's top stories in fashion news.

  • If we had to make a list of people whose fabulous nuptials we'd like to witness, Tom Ford would be at the top. Last week, during a talk at London's Regent Street Apple store, the designer revealed that he'd discreetly tied the knot with his longtime partner Richard Buckley. The news is awesome, but we still want to see the tuxedos. (WWD)

  • There may soon be two brands with the name Beckham stamped on the label. David Beckham reportedly met with the Hong Kong-based sourcing firm Li & Fung (they supply clothes to Wal-Mart and Target) to discuss a new sportswear collection. Given how often we see Becks in his underwear, we have a feeling undergarments will be involved. (Complex)

  • Speaking of soccer stars, Adidas is sending a soccer ball equipped with six cameras around the world to promote the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Dubbed "brazuca," the ball can be tracked via its multi-lingual Twitter account. Just last week, the ball met Pope Francis. (Fansided)

  • Jay-Z donned a controversial bit of bling at a recent Nets game. Consisting of an eight-point star with the number seven in the middle, the rapper's medallion is a symbol of the Five Percent Nation—an offshoot of the Nation of Islam with a reputation for anti-white sentiment. (Huffington Post)

  • For its latest look book, The Hill-Side tapped stylish New Yorkers like Nick Wooster and fashion editor Justin Doss to pose in springy clothes surrounded by plastic-wrapped buds in New York's flower district. The results will make you want to burn your winter parka and buy an iced coffee. (EMag)

  • It's practically doctrine: when Hermès produces a viral video, you have to watch. To promote its Spring 2014 menswear collection, the French house shot a surreal, Magritte-style film about a man jumping, bumping, and falling from one awesome outfit to the next.
