This Week in Fashion: Justin Bieber's Important Announcement, the End of Terry Richardson

Plus—Z Zegna's Pitti party, Vera Wang dresses the groom, and more.

The week's top stories in fashion news.

  • Justin Bieber is many things. Singer. Dancer. Drag-racer. But this week, Biebs claimed to be something else: "fashion." The singer posted a selfie (which got 915,000 likes—think about that for a second) wearing a graphic hoodie with sunglasses and a backwards hat with the unambiguous caption, "I am fashion." Could someone let Kanye West know? We don't want to be the ones to break it to him. (Instagram)

  • Time for a Pitti party. Z Zegna will be this year's guest designer at Pitti Uomo in Florence. The honor—which, in previous years, has been bestowed upon brands like Kenzo and Carven—will include a special presentation for the label when the menswear trade show kicks off June 16. (Style.com)

  • A lot of brands use the term "gun metal" pretty loosely. But Liberty United, a philanthropic venture from Ethos Water founder Peter Throm, takes the idea literally, collecting guns from dead stock weapons around the country and melting them down into jewelry for the likes of Phillip Crangi and Pamela Love. • Soon, the bride won't be the only one wearing Vera Wang at the altar. Wang's new collection of tuxedos, BLACK by Vera Wang, is now available to purchase at Men's Wearhouse for $800. The price tag doesn't sound half bad compared to the designer's bridal confections, which run upwards of $5,000. (Men's Wearhouse)

  • Terry Richardson turned creepiness into (something like) an art. Now, the master may have finally out-creeped even himself. Model Emma Appleton tweeted a message from Richardson propositioning her for sex in exchange for a magazine shoot, prompting clothing brands and magazines alike to pledge against working with him. But perhaps people were too quick to believe the latest Richardson rumor: one Internet expert says the message came from a fake account. (Page Six)
