Obama Retires White Sox Jacket and His 2009-Era Mom Jeans

Well, technically the First Lady did it for him.

On Thursday, when President Obama donated the Chicago White Sox jacket he wore to throw the first pitch at a 2009 All-Star game to the Baseball Hall of Fame, he also officially retired the baggy, light-washed jeans for which he has taken so much flak.

"Michelle retired those jeans quite a while back," the commander-in-chief said, joking with the press during a tour of the museum.

And thank goodness for that. Fast forward to 2014, and the president's jeans are darker, trimmer, and so stylish that the man can even make the denim-on-denim look work in no less powerful a place than the Oval Office.
