In this edition of Well Suited, we remember one of the most stylish fictional characters of all time—and the talented writer who created him.
Ian Fleming would be celebrating his 106th birthday if he were alive today. The man may be gone, but the world will surely remember his work for years to come; Fleming wrote the James Bond novels that have spawned the highest grossing film series of all time. And we'd be remiss not to point out that the costumes (mainly suits, with a few tuxedos thrown in here and there) that 007 wore on screen are a big part of those movies' success. Because who's not impressed by a man who can run, jump, and save lies in a full coat and tie?
Below, a look at the six stylish men who've played the British spy on the big screen.
Sean Connery with Daniela Bianchi in From Russia With Love.
Roger Moore with Barbara Bach in The Spy Who Loved Me.
George Lazenby at a photo call for On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Timothy Dalton shooting a press photo for The Living Daylights.
Pierce Brosnan (right) in Goldeneye.
Daniel Craig in Skyfall.
