And Woolmark's First American Menswear Prize Goes to…

These guys just can't stop winning.

Congratulations are in order for Public School's Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow, who made fashion history on Monday night when they won Woolmark's first regional menswear prize for the United States.

The design duo beat four other American menswear firms, including Antonio Azzuolo, Ovadia & Sons, Timo Weiland, and Todd Snyder for the award. Mark McNairy, one of the original semi-finalists, ended up dropping out due to the time commitment.

Public School and the American women's wear finalist (Marcia Patmos of M. Patmos) get $47,000 to help with their next collection, plus the opportunity to showcase their wares at Saks Fifth Avenue. They'll eventually compete against finalists from India, the Middle East, Europe, India, and Australia for the top prize: $94,000 to buy fabrics and market future collections. The winners' clothes will be sold at a group of international retailers, including Harvey Nichols in London, Colette in Paris, 10 Corso Como in Milan, and Joyce in China, among others.

Of course, this isn't the first trophy that Public School will put on its shelf. The six-year-old brand won the CFDA's Swarovski Award for Menswear in 2013, the same year they won the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award. Earlier this summer, Chow and Osborne were named the CFDA's Menswear Designers of the Year.
