#PharrellWatch: His Famous Hat Is Going Into a Museum, but He's Also Getting Sued

We'll take the good with the bad.

Our good friend Pharrell Williams had already made history as a talented, ageless, award-winning polymath and creator of artistic product. But today something associated with him is going into a museum!

The Newseum in Washington, DC is putting the now-infamous hat our former cover star wore to this year's Grammy awards on display from today until Oct. 26. For those of you who missed the story: the Vivienne Westwood topper caused such a stir that it inspired a parody Twitter account, and the fast-food chain Arby's was quick to comment that it looked suspiciously similar to the ten gallon hat in its logo.

Arby's later bought the hat from Pharrell for just north of $44,000, which the singer donated to a children's charity. The Newseum, which is currently running exhibits about the Anchorman movies and the dogs of the White House, called the hat "a great example of the impact of social media today."

Speaking of social media, here's the Vine Arby's posted when it announced its plans to donate the famous hat:

The six-second clip is a lot more fun to watch than Pharrell's newest legal trouble, though. The producer of ARTST TLK, a YouTube show for which Pharrell has interviewed everyone from Jeff Koons to Spike Lee, is suing the singer because his contract with The Voice won't allow him to be on any other programming. Here's hoping the two can find a peaceful way to resolve the conflict and get happy again.
