Q: Did surviving the London Blitz in World War II inspire you to join the military?
A: Oh, no. I was dragged in screaming. Every young man in England had to do two years when he got to age 18. I couldn't wait to get out. I served in Korea. And warfare is not a good thing, you know. It's not like in the movies. I've never seen a realistic battle in a movie, ever. You see all these brave people. I never saw any brave people.
