Q: Well, that is the dream, isn’t it?
A: I couldn’t fucking believe it. I have to say it’s an ensemble piece—I am the star, yes, but it has an ensemble feel. And it has perhaps an appeal that is more for an older audience than a 17-year-old, in terms of its references or whatnot. But the point is that I hadn’t seen laughter like that in any of my movies ever. And that my acting had improved greatly because I hadn’t had the chance to have to do two movies a year and continue with the same old kinds of mugging and whatnot that I did on the screen.

Q: So you had to make it up from scratch?
A: In a way. And one does mature as you get older.
