"I remember saying to Robert, 'Oh, you like diagonal lines, and so do I.' Because I remember in some of those compositions there was a very strong diagonal line. So that was interesting to me, to see how that comes back, like in the Lisa Lyon image or the Patti Smith shadow going across . . ."
