The New Rio De Janeiro: A High-Tech All-Night Party

A long, narrow island dotted with lagoons and rain forests, "Floripa" combines the beauty of Brazil's wild coast with Rio's sophistication. For starters, it has 42 beaches—from the high-end Jurerê Internacional, with waterfront beach clubs like Praia Café de la Musique, to the village of Ribeirão da Ilha, where you can slurp oysters at Ostradamus and watch Brazil's tech titans parade past. Supermodel Fernanda Motta and her husband just opened the exclusive hotel Pousada Zé Maria. Built by architect Arthur Casas, it blends in with the dramatic rolling landscape. And the nightlife echoes Rio's: Parties in Jurerê carry on till dawn.
