Meet the Men of The Social Network
Before you see Hollywood's version of how the Silicon Valley sausage gets made in the hotly anticipated Facebook movie—in theaters this week—get to know the players.
Character: Eduardo Saverin
Relationship to Facebook: Cofounder; business manager
Status Update: Saverin, a onetime classmate of Zuckerberg's, was squeezed out of the company early on. In 2009 he won a lawsuit granting him the title of cofounder—and a rumored $1.1 billion settlement.
Hollywood Move: Rumor has it that The Social Network is most flattering to Saverin because he provided early source material for Ben Mezrich, author of The Accidental Billionaires, on which the film is based.
