Guide to Tribeca Film Festival 2013: 20 Must-See Narratives and Documentaries

We've narrowed down the 150+ films screening at the Tribeca Film Festival this year (April 17–28) to the essentials. Here, the features we'll be first in line for.

Bluebird (Narrative)
Director: Lance Edmands
Starring: Amy Morton, John Slattery, Louisa Krause, Emily Meade, Margo Martindale, Adam Driver
Why We'll Be First in Line: For his anticipated directorial debut about a sleepy Maine town rocked by tragedy, writer-director Edmands assembled a seasoned team: Tony-nominated Morton plays a school-bus driver who neglects to see a sleeping student in the back seat and leaves him in the bus to freeze overnight. John Slattery plays her logger husband, Margo Martindale plays the boy's grandmother and caretaker, and Martha Marcy May Marlene cinematographer Jody Lee Lipes adds a chilling, layered wintertime atmosphere to the small-town drama.
