Extreme Wellness: Luxury Hotels Now Offering Ridiculous Health Perks
In the race to woo upscale customers, hotels are stepping up their health-conscious amenities. Vitamin C–infused showers, anyone?
No shirt? No shoes? No problem. Last summer, Trump Hotels partnered with Under Armour as part of its Travel Fit wellness program. The upshot: The hotel will deliver kicks (Micro G Mantis model), high-performance tees, shorts, and socks (yours to keep) to your room—plus loaded iPod Shuffles, yoga mats, stretch bands, and weights—for free. For just $5, Westin doles out the latest New Balance gear (the NBX 890 sneakers will arrive in the next few weeks), as part of its Westin Gear Lending initiative, which completed its global rollout in 2012. And President's Club members at Fairmont hotels have access to loaner Reebok shoes and apparel.
