Get His Workout

Villegas gets his explosive power from a routine made up of compound exercises that hit more than one muscle group at a time. He'll do regular lunges, diagonal lunges, and side lunges. Next are clean and jerks across his body with a 25-pound dumbbell. There's a twist: He adds a jump into the motion, then jump lunges, and as if that weren't enough, he holds two 20-pound dumbbells and adds a shoulder press into the motion. The finale is a set of jump-ups onto a three-foot-high platform.
