Fanclub president Ernesto Riveroll, whom everyone knows as Don Ernesto, observes of Michelito's first bull: "It didn't lend much to the brilliance." Michelito's cornerman, El Tijuano, adds that the bull is manso—meek. "There are two kinds of bulls," El Tijuano explains, "manso and bravo. This one was manso." At this, Don Ernesto chuckles. "Yes," he says, "but there's also manso peligro. You know, like a mother-in-law." Roughly translated: relatively docile, but dangerous if forced to defend itself.
