Bamin's New Modular Line Lets You Design (and Redesign) Your Own Custom Bag

Don't like the handles or the sides? Just zip them off.

At this point, you can customize everything from your sunglasses to your cologne. But what about your bag? A relatively new company called Bamin gives its customers control over everything from the shape of its carryalls and duffels to the colors of their handles.

Bamin's bags are modular, so even after you receive your custom bag it's easy to swap in one color of leather for another, or to attach different straps and handles. Since the pieces zip together to form the final product, if you get bored of the brown side gusset on your tote bag in a few months, you can buy one in another color to replace it.

The company's name is an acronym that stands for Built And Make It Now, which speaks to how easy it is to create a one-of-a-kind bag with their service. The only drawback is that you have to request an invitation from Bamin to make one.

However, the company does sell a ready-made line, like the $555 overnight bag above, no membership required. And you could easily buy one now, wait until your invitation arrives, and start switching out various pieces down the line.
