Ballet was a clear inspiration for Dries Van Noten this season. Our senior market editor Justin Berkowitz noted more than one element that pointed in that direction, but said the fabrics this designer used were key.
"It seemed to be fairly clearly about fluidity or something that's sort of languid," he said. Because the fabrications were mostly done in silk or something that was very very thin, like a cotton voile, you got a very serious sense of movement."
