The Coen Brothers' Fargo on TV? You Betcha!

Fargo, the new Coen-brothers-produced FX limited series, opens just like their 1996 masterpiece: with the words this is a true story set over the Minnesota tundra.

The plot is different—a spineless insurance salesman (Martin Freeman) unwittingly enlists a mysterious hit man (Billy Bob Thornton) to get back at the countless bullies in his life while a fleet of folksy-yet-fearless cops set out on their trail. But the genre-bending genius of the original film is still very much present. "Maps used to say, 'There be dragons here.' Now they don't," says Thornton's stone-faced sociopath. "But that don't mean the dragons aren't there." Premieres April 15.
