That's Sting as the mod gang leader Ace Face in Quadrophenia, the 1979 film loosely based on the Who's lesser-known rock opera of the same name. The film, about a rivalry between Mods and Rockers, ignited a mod revival in the late '70s/early '80s, bringing back some sharp fashion elements. To dress like a mod, a slim-cut suit with narrow lapels and tapered waist is a must. For the bold mod supremes out there, choose a leather overcoat over the typical parka and dressy loafers over chukkas.

Long overcoats are difficult to come by this time of year, but always count on Italian retailer Forzieri for fine leather outerwear in-stock year-round.
