This isn't your grandmother's ball of wool: Watch a stack of high-end sweaters unravel. And it's fascinating!
Dutch art duo Lernert Engelberts and Sander Plug helped the Kiki Niesten boutique in Maastricht, Netherlands, make room for Spring merchandise by literally taking apart pieces from its Fall 2013 offering. The disassembled sweaters, whose strands were turned into balls of yarn, come from brands like Prada, Jil Sander, Chloe, and Cline.
The artists worked with the Dutch production company Wrong to create a short film that documents the process called "Last Season." The video, along with the yarn, will be on display in Kiki Niesten's window starting tomorrow until the end of the Maastricht-based European Fine Arts Festival on the 23rd.
Can't make it to the Netherlands in the next week? Watch the sweaters get unraveled below. It gives new meaning that '90s Weezer hit "Undone—The Sweater Song" (Oh, like you weren't thinking it.)
