Beat the Heat with Apolis' Summer-Friendly Blazer

What's a guy to do when it's blisteringly hot, but in theory, he should really be wearing a jacket?

If you've taken a look at the weather report this week (while much of the men's fashion world has been at the Pitti Immagine Tradeshow in Florence), you know that temps on the East Coast have been pushing the triple digits. Clearly, this creates quite the sartorial conundrum—and not just for the super fashion-conscious. What's a guy to do when it's blisteringly hot, but he needs to wear a jacket at work?

Freshly re-issued in new colors, the shirt-weight Apolis Standard Issue Civilian Blazer ($248) by Apolis' Raan and Shea Parton just might be the answer. The California-based duo clearly knows how to make a heat-resistant jacket: remove structure and weight, and use incredibly soft cotton. Pair it with a simple crew neck tee or a cotton poplin shirt and the brand's Standard Issue Civilian Chinos for one very cool (pardon the pun) summer look.
